Job Description:

Total Wine & More is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Sales & Expense Analytics to join our FP&A team in our Bethesda, MD office.You will leverage data driven and detail-oriented skills to forecast, analyze and report on sales and expense activity for the stores and headquarters. This role interacts with several departments in the company, making it a great opportunity to learn various aspects of the business while putting your retail finance and analytical skills to work. You will provide decision support to our Finance, Store Operations, and select other management teams. You will report to the Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
You will:

• Use multiple software packages (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Excel) to analyze KPIs, and create actionable reports that forecast sales.
• Prepare weekly and monthly PowerPoint presentations summarizing financial performance for senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models that support the annual sales and margin planning process for all stores.
• Review weekly sales variance to forecast and plan, discuss cause, and help create action plans.
• Perform financial analysis of business units, projects, and/or programs.
• Other ad-hoc reports and analytics as assigned.You will come with:
• 3+ years of experience as a financial or data analyst or consultant.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field with high GPA.
• Advanced in MS Excel (can perform complex functions).
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience in retail/consumer products industry is a plus.
• Solid communication skills, written and oral.We offer:

Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience.
