The following are the duties of this position at the full working
level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are
selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to
learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow
in this position.

Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been
gained in the public sector, private sector or One year of
experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on
a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience,

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of
this announcement OR time of referral:
Specialized Experience/ Education GS-05:
Applicants must meet one of the following: At least one (1) year of
specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level
(GS-04) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is
defined as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other
work that indicates ability to acquire the particular competencies
needed to perform the duties of this position. This may be paid or
non-paid experience. Examples of qualifying experience include
experience performing a variety of miscellaneous tasks involving
researching and processing financial documents, reviewing
information and determining corrective action on accounts,
researching for missing/unclear accounting information and
reviewing financial documents submitted for completeness.
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:
A Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in
any field of study from an accredited business, secretarial or
technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Have a combination of education and experience equivalent to one
year of specialized experience. Post-high school education must be
from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school,
junior college, college or university.
Specialized Experience GS-06:
Applicants must have: At least one (1) year of specialized
experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the
Federal government. Specialized experience is defined as
progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that
demonstrates the ability to acquire the particular competencies
needed to perform the duties of this position. Examples of
qualifying experience include, experience dealing with the public
analyzing tax or accounting issues. Experience resolving problems,
adjusting accounts, and providing information on financial
issues.
Specialized Experience GS-07:
Applicants must have: At least one (1) year of specialized
experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) in the
Federal government. Specialized experience is defined as experience
that is related to the work of this position and has provided you
with the competencies necessary for successful job performance.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include bookkeeping
or accounting duties, working with the public analyzing tax or
accounting problems and resolving high-conflict differences through
use of established guidelines, dealing with customers in person, in
writing or by telephone in a variety of situations that require
solicitation of information to identify concerns and offer
solutions, interpreting account information to address a variety of
issues, guidelines, and past transactions.

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited
