  • Duration: Up to 120 days or a detail with the possibility of an extension.The Congressional Research Service, Office of Administrative Operations is offering a 120-day opportunity for a qualified individual at the GS-7 or GS-8 to serve on a full-time temporary promotion to the GS-9 OR a qualified individual at the GS-9 (no promotion) to serve on a full-time detail as a Program Management Assistant in the Procurement and Administrative Services Section.The Program Management Assistant assists in the execution of a wide range of duties relating to information management, organization and analysis; program coordination and logistical support; creation and processing of administrative documents (some through on-line systems such as the Library's automated personnel processing system, staffing system, and financial/procurement system). Candidates with knowledge of performing calendar and scheduling functions, and making logistical arrangements for a variety of topics related to the business of the office; creating identification badges for staff and contractors; using the Library's automated request services system to create varied work orders; conducting periodic surveys of equipment and property utilization; providing administrative support to the space management function by assisting with the coordination of office moves, office construction, and other facility improvements are encouraged to apply.Application and Selection ProcessApplicants must be a current Library of Congress employee serving in a permanent or indefinite position at the GS-7, GS-8 or 09 level. Due to no intervening grade, applicants who are currently at the GS-07 level do not need to meet time in grade at the GS-08 level.Interested candidates should, prepare afederal style resume with a one-page statement expressing interest in this opportunity, along with a description of their qualifications that includes current work experience and training related to the required knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
