Discover where vision, creativity, and talent come together.Position OverviewWith alarming rates of antisemitism continuing to rise in Maryland and across the country, The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is leading a new initiative to proactively combat antisemitism. The Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate (working title) will both integrate and scale existing efforts while also launching innovative responses. We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Director to successfully launch the Center and to lead The Associated's system efforts to combat antisemitism.What you'll do

  • Lead the launch of the new center by scaling, developing and leading The Associated system's strategies to counter antisemitism in partnership with the Baltimore Jewish Council and other Associated agencies.
  • Partner with other Associated nonprofits, particularly the Baltimore Jewish Council, to coordinate and deliver effective strategies to counter antisemitism and hate.
  • Develop and deliver training and education for community stakeholders including businesses, schools, individuals and other influencers.
  • Deepen and forge meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the Jewish community and greater Baltimore.
  • Increase strategic communications focused on The Associated's countering antisemitism strategy and efforts including social media and in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Partner with a lay oversight committee that will effectively champion the work of the Center.
  • Establish evaluative measures to assess impact.
  • Further develop innovative strategies to advance the objectives of the Associated's Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate.What we're looking for
    • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with a wide variety of people.
    • Strong understanding of the intricacies of antisemitism, Israel and the Jewish community pre- and post- October 7, 2023.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ease of speaking publicly.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and to forge effective partnerships.
    • Exceptional political savviness.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to launch a new initiative with excellence.
    • Proven track record in development and implementation of a set of strategic priorities.
    • Excellent administrative skills including responsiveness and follow through.
    • Ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to lead with excellence and be receptive to feedback from stakeholders.You also have:
      • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
      • 7-10 years of work-related experience.
