Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Must have an active MD or Compact License at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), CPI Certificate, NRP (NRP or AAP only) Must-Have: - Two satisfactory professional references are needed, including one from a supervisor/manager and one from a charge RN. Job Description: - Compliance document deadline is 5 days prior to start. - Most units will require the CPI certification as part of compliance. - The Calm Every Storm online version is currently the only acceptable online vendor for CPI certification. - Travelers are required to go in for their labs within 72 hours of signing their contract. - Requested Time Off (RTO) must be included at the time of initial submission and cannot be changed or added once offered; same applies for extensions. - RTO should not exceed 7 days; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week will be added to the back end of the contract for new contracts. - Most locations and units will allow for one major holiday off during the winter season; refer to the individual job posting for more specifics per job/unit. - If an auto offer is turned on for a unit/job, the candidate must accept without an interview. - Block schedule or schedule restrictions cannot be requested; units will try their best to accommodate but cannot guarantee and cannot be requested. If approved, it will not be included in writing in the offer. - Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital, with no restrictions or special requests, as long as it is within their experience scope. - Return travelers must be away for at least 6 months before returning. - Former staff must be gone for 12 months before they can return as a traveler. - Extensions are allowed for one contract and one extension; the traveler must take a 6-month break before returning. Exceptions are rare. - Modules are non-billable and factored into orientation hours, which total 24 hours.
