Position Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses plans, administers, and evaluates patients receiving all respiratory care modalities as ordered by a physician or as delineated by Medical Center protocols. Actively participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of quality patient care. Provides emergency, critical care and general care respiratory services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Core Responsibilities
--- Acts as a patient advocate and upholds patient rights
--- Assures all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care
--- Documents in a clear and legible manner
--- Accurately documents verbal orders with read back
--- Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care
--- Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing care

Minimum Requirements
--- NJ Respiratory License, RRT or CRT
--- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
--- Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology
--- Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
--- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull
