DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will deliver expert geological knowledge and
assistance to the Mine Fire, Permitting, and Professional Services
Section of the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation's Division of
Project Development and Design. Furthermore, you will autonomously
conduct investigations, evaluations, planning, development, and
permitting related to various abandoned mine land issues and
reclamation efforts. Your projects will encompass a range of
activities, including mine fire investigations, surface mine
reclamation, control of mine subsidence, closure of mine openings,
remediation of abandoned mine drainage, and replacement of
waterlines and water supply. You will be actively engaged in
multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:This position requires possession of an active
license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania
State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors
and Geologists. This position requires possession of an active
Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or
equivalent.
