The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is hiring a Grants Policy and Compliance Strategy Lead (CS-14) to report directly to the Director of Federal Programs and Strategic funding. The Office is responsible for administering ESSA, IDEA and a portfolio of competitive grants for the District of Columbia.
The Lead will be primarily responsible for:

• Serving as the subject matter expert in federal grants legislation,
  
• Leading grants compliance including making strategic improvements to the monitoring framework,
  
• Drafting and implementing any new grant policies that the Office needs.
  
  This person should bring strong project management and communication skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret grants legislation and regulations. Ideally, they would also be well versed with federal education grants.
  All staff are required to be in person, in the office in D.C. four days a week.
