The Avalon Free Public Library has 2 openings for seasonal assistants for our active 2025 summer season.

Applicants must have work experience demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills and a desire to work closely with the public as part of our patron services team.

Duties include:
Assisting patrons at the circulation desk and with technology.
Proficiency with common computer software and mobile devices is required.
One (1) year FT customer service or teaching experience and a HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
Public library experience preferred.

$20.00/hour, 19 hours/week

Anticipated Season: June 2025 - Labor Day 2025

Possible schedules:

Thursday 9-2, Friday 12-8, Saturday 9-5 (19 hours, F&S include meal break)
Wednesday 1-6, Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-5
