Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Test Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Ashburn, VA to:

• Serve as the primary testing representative on cross-functional project teams delivering impact assessment to current testing processes and policies.
• Negotiate on behalf of the testing team for tools, training, and support commitments.
• Develop and deliver training to the global testing team. Develop/Maintain transaction and automation scripts. Develop/maintain clear testing project documentation.
• Function as a global SME for assigned areas of expertise.
• Collaborate with developers and QA leads to improve testability, automation, and tools. Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with functional/development as required.
• Provide ongoing guidance and knowledge to less tenured Global Client Testing (GCT) employees.
• Coordinate and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
• Travel required.
• Position reports to the Ashburn, Virginia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.Qualifications
  
  Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Test Engineer-related occupation.
• MVS, VIP, RSI, and CORE/Config.
• ISO 8583 messaging.
• Reading logprints and troubleshooting 01xx/02xx and other financial messages.
• API messages such as Splunk logs.
• Payment testing simulators such as VTS-VIP.Additional Information

  This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
  
  Travel Requirements: Travel is required.
  
  Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.Visa is an EEO Employer.
