• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: CRCST or CSPDT

  • SHIFT- M-F (2000-0430) W/ROTATING WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS AS NEEDED BY THE UNIT, & ON-CALL AS NEEDED (30-MINUTE RESPONSE REQUIRED)
  • Under direct supervision, demonstrates competence in all aspects of sterile processing, decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, sterile storage and distribution of sterile medical devices as described in AAMI ST 79.
  • Selects and assembles surgical instrument sets for scheduled surgery.
  • Collects, sorts, decontaminates, sterilizes and stores instruments after use.
  • Performs a variety of duties related to the ordering, inventory and issuing of supplies.
  • Assists with the care and maintenance of department instruments, equipment and supplies.
