seeking a Data Analyst to join our team at the Washington, DC Navy
Yard with a hybrid option after a successful orientation period.
The ideal candidate will:
- Track, consolidate, report, filter actions and tasks.
- Participate in Program Reviews for DDGM 2.0, Planning Yard,
AITs, PARMs, and other Participating Activities.
- Develop and lead deep-dive data analysis and define/track
metrics ISO executive decision making process.
- Be an independent, self-motivated critical thinker who takes
initiative and completes reports/tasks in an independent and timely
manner.
- Assist with recommendation development, briefs, position
papers, reports, and draft responses for executive decision
makers.
- Have experience or aptitude in schedule development and/or
analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources via working
groups, program development forums, and analytical activities to
progress client needs and deliverables into intelligent and
actionable products.
- Produce accurate and useful information through aggregation and
analysis of large amounts of spreadsheet data for charts and
briefings.
- Monitor standards for the quality of reporting and actions in
projects, assist in the resolution of project and program
priorities, and maintain up-to-date information while assuring
quality control throughout all contract activities.
- Demonstrate excellent writing and presentation skills to
develop recommendations, briefings, documents, papers, and
conceptual and analytical reports for clients.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as
assigned.Position RequirementsRequired Education, Skills, and
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics,
Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
- In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or
waived for more than 8 years of applicable work experience.
- Entry-level experience in program management, financial
management, dashboard/metrics development, or data analysis.
- Ability to interpret client requirements and quickly develop
solutions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with senior clients
one-on-one and assess needs.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, including Excel (macros,
Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and PowerPoint.
- MS Project product development and maintenance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must hold an active Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship Required.Desired Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of the NAVSEA, its customers, organization, and
business objectives, as well as problem-solving capability.
- Direct experience as a Navy staff data analyst, with
familiarity with data sources and systems commonly used in the
naval environment.
- A strong background in data analytics, including proficiency in
statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic
techniques.
- Knowledge of process improvement, strategic planning, change
management, and organizational redesign in determining
