Position Details:
--- Title: RCx / BAS Specialist
--- Locations: You can live in either the greater Philadelphia
anywhere or the Washington, DC / northern Virginia region.
--- Travel/Schedule: You generally will work standard day-shift
hours Mon-Fri, performing service functions directly at customer
sites within the territory. Occasional overnight travel may also be
required for jobs outside of the region.
--- Compensation: Target base rate will vary depending on your
relevant experience ($35/hr - $40/hr+)
o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Company vehicle, overtime paid
at 1.5X base rate, semi-annual performance bonus opportunities,
etc.

Position Descriptions:
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) and Building Automation Systems (BAS):
The RCx/BAS Specialist is a field technician performing Retro
commissioning services for building automation, building envelope
and mechanical systems. Some specific responsibilities include:
--- Retro-commissioning:
o Provide Software project upload and data insertion.
o Complete onsite testing.
o Collect field reading.
o Perform automation system verification and validation, providing
documentation of devices tested.
o Complete daily reports.
--- BAS/Construction Installation:
o Retrofit/new construction commercial and light industrial
applications.
o Programming of unitary controllers, area controllers, and
web-based applications.
o Interact with customer IT professionals regarding web
deployment.
o Work with equipment vendors/sub-contractors, and others to
coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database
requirements for integration.
--- HVAC/Service:
o Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation,
commissioning and BAS servicing of systems.
o Provide service and troubleshooting for existing systems.
In order to be successful in these roles, you should have a working
knowledge of electronic/electrical sequencing, controls,
schematics, networking, etc, as they relate to Building Automation.
You should also have hands-on experience with the servicing /
troubleshooting of mechanical elements of HVAC systems. Familiarity
with such BAS platforms as Schneider Electric, ECOSTRUXURE and
Niagara Framework is ideal. You will be expected to maintain a
top-notch customer service and support attitude, with a friendly
willingness to listen and resolve technical issues.
