The Nurse Director Labor Delivery will work for a 300+ bed facility known for both their acute care hospital and rehab center. Administrative responsibilities of the Nurse Director Labor Delivery will include overseeing department operations of the 20+ bed Labor Delivery unit, scheduling, supply maintenance and reordering, quality assurance, state and federal compliance, updating policy procedures, and assisting with the department budgets. Additionally, the Nurse Director Labor Delivery will be a mentor and resource for the labor and delivery team, assist with new hire and continuous staff educational programming, and cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care is consistently delivered.Reporting to the Senior Director Women Services, the Nurse Director Labor Delivery will be accountable for overseeing the Maternity Services postpartum unit, and will be supported by Assistant Managers, Educator, Registered Nurses, Technicians, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Labor Delivery include overseeing department workflow, scheduling, managing the budget, ensuring regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures and assisting with staff education. The Nurse Director Labor Delivery will be a positive individual who is excited to promote a patient-centered environment and lead, mentor, motivate, and educate an innovative team.
